The effect of an Aerobic exercise on IL6, CRP and TNFa concentration in women

Author(s): Alireza Rahimi

The purpose of this study was to the effect an Aerobic exercise on IL6, CRP and TNFa concentration in women. For this object 60 volunteer old people were asked to fill in the specific clinical questionnaires, initially. Then, they were examined by some physicians and after, Health Certificates were issued for qualified participants. At the end of this phase, 30 old women were selected. These people, aged between 60-80 years old, were categorized in two different groups: the control and the experimental groups. The latter group included (15 women), who participated in an 8-week course of aerobic exercises; 3 sessions a week for half an hour per session. Forty-eight hours before and after exercising, some blood samples were collected from the individuals to evaluate their CRP, TNFα and IL-6 factors. Discretional Statistics was used to compare the means, standard deviations and variance of the given societies. However, in the case of hypotheses tests, the t-test used to identify the differences between pre-test and post-test values. Research’s findings revealed that IL-6 factor weren’t changes in the case of old women. Also, TNFα factor changed significantly by doing the exercises, that is, the aerobic exercises affected TNFα factor. However, there were no main differences between CRP levels before and after aerobic activities. In fact, it affected CRP factor at all.
