Twelve novel catalytic and biologically active Ru(II)complexes with coordinating amides were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis,IR,1H,13C NMR and mass spectral analysis, Molecular formulae have been tentatively proposed. These complexes were used as catalysts for the hydrolysis of rivastigmine and neostigmine pharmaceuticals and the percent yields of hydrolyzed products of these drugs were determined spectrophotometrically all the ligands and metal complexes were screened for antibacterial activity.
