A new series of imidazole containing triazole derivatives (7a-7o) was synthesized with the help of different chemical reactions consisting of formation of ester, hydrazide and thiosemicarbazide derivatives of 2,4,5-trisubstituted-1Himidazoles (2a-2e). The proposed structures of newly synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, NMR and mass spectral data. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their anthelmintic activity against Indian adult earthworms (pheretima posthuma) at different concentrations of 0.150% and 0.300% w/v by using albendazole as standard drug. Most of the compounds of this series have shown reasonable anthelmintic potential when compared with standard drug.
