Abstract

Synthesis, biological evaluation and molecular modeling studies of 3-aryl-1- phenyl-1H-pyrazole derivatives as novel acetylcholinesterase inhibitors

Author(s): Ashwani Kumar, Sandeep Jain and Milind Parle

A series of 3-aryl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole derivatives was developed for management of Alzheimer’s disease and analyzed for their ability to inhibit acetylcholinesterase. The enzyme inhibition assay results showed that compounds moderately inhibit acetylcholinesterase, which makes them potential anti-Alzheimer candidates. Docking experiments were performed with the intention to understand the structure activity relationship and interactions of all the compounds with the active site residues of the cholinesterase enzyme.
