Nano-scaled magnetic materials have gained considerable interest because these materials are suitable for the investigation of some fundamental aspects of magnetic ordering phenomena under reduced dimensions, and they thus have a number of novel promising applications. In the present paper, we report the synthesis via a simple microwave assisted solvothermal method using a domestic microwave oven and characterization of Mn3O4 nanocrystals. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements show that the nanocrystal possesses teragonal structure with an average size of 20nm.The Energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDX) was recorded to know the chemical composition. The morphology of Mn3O4 nanocrystals was investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). AC electrical measurements were carried out on palletized samples at various temperatures ranging from 40-150°C by the parallel plate capacitor method.
