The study aims at investigating the relationship of emotional and spiritual intelligences with transformational leadership of sports managers in Alborz province. The study adopted a descriptive-correlational method. The population of the study consisted of 101 sports managers in Alborz province in 2012. Due to limited population size, the sample was considered as equal the population. The instruments used to collect the data included Cyberia- Shrink Emotional Intelligence test(CSEI) and Moradi [1], Linda Hildebrant’s Spiritual Intelligence questionnaire (SIQ) [2] and Bass’s Multifactor Leadership questionnaire (MLQ) [3].The reliability of the questionnaires was calculated to be 0.82 for CSEI, 0.90 for SIQ and 0.73 for MLQ using Cronbach alpha formula. SPSS software was used to do statistical analysis. The data was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics including mean, standard deviation, maximum and minimum scores, independent t test, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The results showed significant, positive, simple and multiple correlationsbetween emotional intelligence and transformational leadership style of sports mangers. From among the components of emotional intelligence, internal motivation assumed a greater role in predicting transformational leadership in the sports managers of Alborz province. The results also showed significant, positive, simple and multiple correlations between spiritual intelligence and transformational leadership style of sports mangers. From among the components of spiritual intelligence, transcendental awareness was found to play a greater role in predicting transformational leadership in the sports managers of Alborz province.
