Author(s): Bhawana Singh, Atul K. Sahu, Raj K. Prasad and S. S. Gautam

High blood pressure is a major public health related problem globally so, the major goals in designing nanoparticles as a delivery system are to control particle size, surface properties and release of pharmacologically active agents. The enhancement in dissolution of the drugs is one of the most important concerning aspects of the pharmaceutical industries. Preparation of nanoparticles of these drugs is the newest formulation strategies. To preparation and characterization of Cilnidipine nanoparticles the methanol were used as solvent and deionized water were used as antisolvent. The optical properties have been investigated using UV - Visible spectral analysis. The structural and morphological studies have been carried out using powder XRD and SEM. FTIR spectroscopy has been widely used in the qualitative analysis. Antisolvent precipitation technique was successfully applied to prepare Cilnidipine nanoparticles powder for the enhancement of solubility.
