Bioassay guided isolation of crude methanolic extracts of the leaves and seeds of M. zapota yielded a total of three known compounds, myricetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnoside (1), D-quercitol (2) and saccharose (3). The structure of the compounds were established based on their physical and chemical data (IH, 13C NMR, 2D NMR and mass). The compound (1) showed good antioxidant activity, moderate elastase and tyrosinase inhibition activities.
