In this research some of effective factors on planning and performance of forest roads networkwere surveyed. According to the important roles of roads in successive performance of forestry projects, accomplishment of this study was necessary. Darabkola forest was determined in this research with an area of 4740 hectare which is situated in southeast of Sari city (North of Iran). Geology, lithology and pedology factors were studied. Results of this research showed that soil mechanic, geology and lithology were in normal condition with properroad density of 10.6 m ha-1 and average skidding distance of 235m.Therefore, existing roads in the study area were assessed as appropriate for utilization purposes
