Phytochemical investigation of the methanolic extract of Aeglemarmelos (L.) Corr. (Rutaceae) roots resulted in the isolation of two new sesterterpenic coumarin ethers characterized as 8-(2´,6´,10´,14´,18´-pentamethyl-n-eicos-1´- 5´,13´,17´-teraene-10´-oxy) coumarin (2) and 8-(2´,6´,10´,14´,18´-pentamethyl-nonadec-8´-12´,18´-triene-2´-ol-3- oxy) coumarin (3) and two new triterpenic coumarin ethers identified as 8–(2´ ,6´,10´,14´,18´, 22- hexamethyltetracos-1´,13´,17´, 21´-tetraene-10´-oxy)coumarin (4) and 8–(2´,6´,10´,14´,18´, 22´-hexamethyl-22- methoxymethylene-tetracos-1´,3´,5´,7´,11´-pentaene-9´β-ol-13´β-methoxy -14´-oxy) coumarin (5) along with nhexacosan- 1-ol (1). The structures of the isolated compounds were established by spectral data analysis.
