To consider the effects of Treated Municipal Wastewater Effluent (TMWE) of Yasouj city on some heavy metals (Fe,
Mn, Cu, Cd, Ni and Co) concentration in soil, a one-year pot experiment carried out in a farmyard in 2010-2011.
The experiment conducted in presence of some green space plants. The irrigation treatments include full irrigation
with potable water as control (W), full irrigation with TMWE (F) and intermittent irrigation with potable water and
TMWE (WF). Results showed that the application of TMWE increased the total concentration of soil Fe
significantly. No significant change was found in total concentration of Mn, Cu, Cd, Ni and Co. However the
concentration of total Pb slightly decreased. The concentration of available Fe, Mn, Zn, Cd and Co increased
significantly by application of TMWE. However the concentrations of available Cu and Pb decreased significantly
