Knowledge and Attitude of the Indigenous Angami Nagas towards HIV and people living with HIV

In order to evaluate the knowledge and attitude of the Angami Nagas towards HIV, a cross sectional study was performed using interview schedule method on 400 adult Angamis (200 males and 200 females) between the age group of 18-48 years, from Kohima, Nagaland (India). Adult Angami Nagas have a fairly good knowledge regarding HIV, but there still persists a considerable misconceptions and prejudices towards HIV and people living with HIV.
