Single crystals of pure and L-histidine doped Copper sulphate have been grown by slow evaporation of an aqueous
solution at room temperature. The grown crystals were subjected to powder X-ray diffraction analysis, confirming
that the crystalline nature of the crystal. UV-Vis-NIR spectra have been recorded in the range 190-1100 nm. The
microhardness test was carried out in plane and the hardness coefficient was calculated.
