Ferrum phosphoricum is also known as Ferrum phos or iron phosphate and is prepared by amalgamating the minerals iron and phosphorus. It is formulated by blending three solutions - iron sulfate, sodium acetate and phosphorus. The resultant product iron phosphate is pulverized using large amounts of sugar lactose (also known as milk sugar) to make it non-toxic. Ferrum phos is primarily used for beginning of inflammations.
