The Baksa district, one of the 27 districts of Assam state in northeastern India under Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) is situated on the north bank of the Brhamaputra valley. The district is mainly inhabited by the Bodo tribe along with other ethnic communities like Rabha, Garo etc. People of the area are mainly dependent on plant resources from their ambient vegetation of diverse natural habitats. The present paper records the wild plants used as a vegetable by the ethnic groups in the area. The data were collected with the help of the local people in the area having the knowledge on wild vegetables and survey of local makeshift markets.
