Vegetables constitute an important part of the human diet. Normallyitconstitutes carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. The levels of heavy metals obtained in six stations in Tehran-Iran from vegetable samples were directly polluted. Samples were collected and analysed for eight heavy metals like Cadmium, Copper, Lead, Zinc, Iron, Manganese, Nickel andChromium. The result showed maximum Cd and Pband Fewere observed in Spinach (Spinaciaoleracea L.).High level of Zincwas 1.21 mg/ kg in Spinach (Spinaciaoleracea L.) in spring seasonwhile maximum concentration of Nickel was observed in Spinach (Spinaciaoleracea L.) 0.22 mg/ kg in station three during summer season. Copper level was 0.89 mg/kg in Spinach (Spinaciaoleracea L.) crop in summer season.Present results were compared withWHOstandard. The results showed that the heavy metals were below to the level of human consumption standard.
