Assessment of experts Ã?¢Ã?â?¬Ã?Ë?attitude about multifunctional agriculture in Iran

Agriculture is still highly dependent on public support. The multi functionality of agriculture consists of non-market and market goods produced by agriculture. The most widely accepted aspects of the multi functionality of agriculture are food security, environmental considerations and securing the viability of rural areas. This notion is the new in some of developing countries. The goal of this paper is to analyze the degree of obtaining multi functional agriculture in Iran. This research was a quantitative applied research and in terms of the data collection process was a non-experimental investigation. A well designed-questionnaire was used to collect the data through interview and observation. All especially experts (N=100) in agricultural ministry were surveyed as the statistical population of the study, out of which 80 experts were taken randomly as the research sample. Questionnaire validity confirmed by content validity method with a panel of expert and its reliability confirmed by implication of pilot test and calculation of Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.96). Data were analyzed by SPSS, V.19 software. The result of study showed that from point of existence situation of multi functional agricultural, Factor income with higher rank (CV1=21.53) have the most possibility among the other functions, then from point of ideal situation, Food Production (CV=11.36) have higher rank. There is significant difference among both situations. Also experts believed that rural sustainable development dimensions can be boost and inhibitory effect on multi functionally agriculture.
