This study presents the results of the analysis of genetic structure of Msirda’s population in west of Algeria on the basis of the polymorphism of blood groups (ABO, Rhesus, MNSs and Duffy), considered as classical genetic markers. These genetic markers are equipped with large informative capacity of anthropogenesis in order to reconstruct the evolutionary history of human populations. Blood samples were carried out in 2007 on a sample of 250 individuals (149 men and 101 women) original of Msirda. The results reveal a genetic equilibrium for the four studied systems. Msirda presents high frequencies of the haplotype Ro (Rh*cDe) and the allele Fy*b, and a low frequency of the haplotype r (Rh*cde) compared to other Mediterranean populations. Interpopulation comparisons of the Mediterranean show a close affinity between of Msirda population and North African populations in general and Moroccan populations in particular. These results have been certified by the principal components analysis, and the developed phylogenetic tree.
