Abstract

Annoreticuin and sabadelin,a potential oncogenic transcriptional factor inhibitors: An in silico analysis

Annoreticuin and sabadelin are acetogenin bioactive compounds present in Annona muricata fruit pulp. In this docking analysis, we have reported six oncogenic transcriptional factors which annoreticuin and sabadelin had showed potential inhibition. The most significant inhibition was observed for T-Box transcriptional factor-5 (TBX5) whose value was 27.98mM and 4.68mM. Murine Double Minute 2 (MDM2) scored the second with 50.51mM and 11.73mM inhibition constant by annoreticuin and sabadelin respectively. Based on the impact of MDM2 role in p53 regulation, this in-silico analysis study supports the cytotoxic activity of annoreticuin and sabadelin which it could be due to inhibition of MDM2.Among the transcriptional factors inhibition, sabadelin had higher potential inhibition than annoreticuin. This study sets a new path for viewing the anti-cancer activity of these key acetogenins present in Annona muricata.
