Monte Carlo simulations have been carried out on targets at given thicknesses and diameters, bombarded by electron beams and protons with an energy of 18 MeV. The neutron yields escaping from the outer surfaces of the targets were calculated. In this article we calculated and compared the neutron flux produced by two types of accelerators.
