Pleased to mention that during the year 2020, Volume 10 was published online well within the time and the print issues were also brought out and dispatched within 30 days of publishing the issue online. Journal of Natural Product and Plant Resources during this year of 2020 released 3 issues jumping from the frequency of 2 in the previous years and now in 2021 frequency of the Journal has changed to monthly which ultimately leads to twelve issues in a year. The Journal of Natural Product and Plant Resources has its article indexed and archived in Google Scholar. The articles published in Journal of Natural Product and Plant Resources have been cited 27 times by eminent researchers all around the world.
During the calendar year 2019 and 2020, JNPPR received a total of 30 papers, out of which articles (20%) were rejected in the preliminary screening due to plagiarism or being out of the format and peer review process. During 2019 and 2020, around 24 articles were subjected for publication after they were accepted in the peer review process. A total of 24 articles were published (at an average of 6 articles per issue) of which, articles were published from authors belonging mostly to the high-income countries. A total of 45 research scientists from all over the world reviewed the 24 articles published in Volume 9 and Volume 10. Average publication lag time of an article was further reduced to 2-3 weeks.
During the calendar years 2019 and 2020, a total of 15 Editors, 40 Reviewers joined the board of JNPPR and contributed their invaluable services towards contribution as well as publication of articles. Within four months of 2021, 10 new Editors and Reviewers were added and many new manuscripts were received from various countries.
Asrar Ahmad joined Editorial Board of Journal of Natural Product and Plant Resources as an Editor in April 2021 who has specialty in Molecular Biology and Genetics. Presently, he is working as Post-Doctoral Associate in Center for Sickle Cell Disease, Howard University, Washington, DC, USA and few years back he worked as Postdoctoral Researcher in Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA.
I welcome Dr. Asrar Ahmad to the Editorial Team of Journal of Natural Product and Plant Resources and hope to continue this scientific relationship.
I would take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of Aparajita Banerjee as an Editor during the final editing of articles published and the support rendered by the Editorial board member, Asrar Ahmad in bringing out issues of JNPPR in time. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, the publisher, the advisory and the editorial board of JNPPR, the office bearers for their support in bringing out yet another volume of JNPPR and look forward to their unrelenting support to bring out the Volume 11 all Issues of JNPPR in scheduled time.
