Acoustical and transport behavior of some amino acids in aqueous Dmso solutions at 303.15K

ABSTRACT

Ultrasonic velocity (U), Viscosity (η) and density (?) have been measured for three amino acids viz., L-glutamine, L-arginine, L-lysine in aqueous DMSO solutions at 303.15K. Using the experimental values, the adiabatic compressibility  (β), hydration number (Your browser may not support display of this image. ), apparent molar compresiblility (Your browser may not support display of this image. ) apparent molar volume (Your browser may not support display of this image. ), limiting apparent molar compressibility (Your browser may not support display of this image. ), limiting apparent molar volume (Your browser may not support display of this image. ) and their constants (Your browser may not support display of this image. ,Your browser may not support display of this image. ), transfer volume (Your browser may not support display of this image. ) and viscosity A and B coefficients of Jones-Dole equation were calculated. The experimental results have been discussed in terms of ion-solvent and     solute–co-solute interactions on the basis of cosphere over lap model.
